North Shore Endodontics was the first specialist endodontic clinic on Sydney’s North Shore, established by Dr. Sydney Bader in 1993. Dr. John Barbat joined the practice in 1996.
North Shore Endodontics is a specialist dental practice, conveniently located in Chatswood, dedicated exclusively to endodontic care.
North Shore Endodontics has always been an early adapter of technological and clinical gains, being the first endodontic practice to fully adopt digital radiography in 1998, which significantly lowered patient exposure to clinical radiation and revolutionised the storage and transmission of clinical images.
The introduction of intravenous sedation for our patients in 1997, for the first time allowed anxious patients who would otherwise be excluded from treatment or patients who find treatment extremely challenging, to be taken care of in a comfortable and safe way.
We have for many years routinely carried out all of our treatment under high magnification using endodontic microscopes. The practice always adopts the best and latest technical advances in the constantly evolving field of rotary instruments used to prepare the root canal system.
In 2014 the introduction of an on-site CBCT machine introduced our practice to the era of 3D imaging. Designed specifically for endodontics, the Morita Veraviewepocs 3D is a small volume, low radiation dose unit which, the literature shows, significantly enhances diagnosis and treatment outcomes.
With a combined commitment of over fifty years to specialised endodontic services, the North Shore’s most experienced team make it their priority to provide the the highest standard of endodontic expertise and care in a professional, friendly and comfortable environment.
